Figurative Sculptures
Canadian sculptor Troy Coulterman recently opened a solo display at Subtext Gallery in San Diego, CA on June 21. Turning mundane facts into absurdities, Coulterman presents a series of figurative sculptures that overstate the individual quirks and offbeat characteristics we might notice about other persons in transient. Working mainly with acrylic decorate, resin and steel underpinnings, Coulterman conceives a vivid, color-satured cast of characters, asking for us to draw attachments between these solitary figures. Take a gaze at some of the work in the displaybelow and check out the exhibition through July 21.
