Optical Illusion Drawings
Rob Gonsalves is an artist from Toronto, Canada. His art works are mixing of creativity and optical illusion. He mixes components to create amazing transitions from connections to clouds to caravels. Rob Gonsales (born in 1959 in Toronto, Canada) is a Canadian painter of illusion realism with a unique perspective and style. He makes initial works, limited edition prints and illustrations for his own publications. Throughout his childhood, Gonsalves developed an interest in drawing from fantasy utilising diverse newspapers. By the age of twelve, his perception of architecture increased as he learned viewpoint methods and he began to create his first paintings and renderings of envisaged structures. After an introduction to creative persons DalĂ and Tanguy, Gonsalves began his first surrealist paintings. The "Magic Realism" approach of Magritte along with the accurate perspective illusions of Escher came to be leverages in his future work.
