Billowing Colorful Clouds

Pop! is a visually stimulating series by Texas-based person taking photos Irby Pace that reinterprets the gaze of oft-seen open areas, long streets, huge bodies of water, shrouded alleyways, and diverse desolate countrysides. Pace's refreshing take on countryside taking photos incorporates the use of artificial clouds, often glimpsed in surreal, conceptual taking photos to give the commonplace subject a boot. The quick-witted creative uses helium balloons, string, and fumes canisters normally utilised in paintball appliances to conceive the mysterious clouds of hue fumes in each of his images. They add a vibrant life to their respective settings as they billow against the horizon.
Pace explains, "With Pop! I am conceiving another way to view the traditional countryside through photography. I am decorating the atmosphere with clouds of tinted fumes which are released via canisters that I am levitating into the personal space." He adds, "As a progeny I would take things apart and number how they would function only to put them back simultaneously again or how to make them do certain thing additional. When approaching art making I am conveying this identical childhood obsession, how can I use expertise to turn art on it’s head. With my work I desire to continue to blend classical art methods and imbued it with new technology."
