The Places We’ll Go

Where Michael Page‘s 2012 solo show at Shooting Gallery, “Elan Vital,” was epic and mythological, his new body of work for this year’s “The Places We’ll Go,” opening October 12, is playful, without a shred of self-importance or ceremoniousness. The departure in subject matter couldn't be more radical for Page, though his psychedelic painting style filled with glossy, masterfully-executed drips of color has stayed consistent. Page says he has found a new freedom in this childlike exploration even the title of the show is a nod to Doctor Seuss. “The Places We’ll Go” will be on view at San Francisco’s Shooting Gallery October 12 through November 2.
