Cloudy Landscapes

Motivated by his surrounding Scottish countrysides, Glasgow-based creative person Scott Naismith understands the atmosphere, land, and ocean before him as beautiful marks of color. Using multi-sized paint brushes and diverse palette knives, the decorator expresses his love for his native rural areas with a multi-layered tune of hue. The use of multiple tools permits him to make his yearned texture and visual effect, further accentuating the alert, captivating setting.
The explosion of colors that are often present in Naismith's work are creative renditions of lightweightweight peeking through the clouds. He interprets, "My recent work now becomes more engaged with cloudcover and its effect on lightweightweight and colour through both its translucent and opaque properties. Clouds are visible masses of water droplets or frozen ice crystals suspended in the air . They have the ability to refract and contemplate, conceiving an ever altering perception of light which motivates my use of colour."
